Caviar should be served cold. Caviar can be served straight from the can or on top of a traditional blini with crème fraîche. Caviar is also often used as a garnish on other dishes. Regardless of how it is presented, caviar must be handled with care, using mother-of-pearl spoons (also available from Persian Caviar), as this neutral material does not adversely affect the caviar’s taste.

When you order online from Persian Caviar, your caviar will be sealed and it is already prepared for you to enjoy – just serve it immediately with one of our other products (blini, king crab or smoked salmon) to ensure a delicious experience. For best results, maintain the temperature by placing the can in crushed or shaved ice.

When deciding which drinks to serve with caviar, it is important not to overpower the pronounced flavor profile. For this reason we combine our caviar with our own gold leaf vodka, champagne or dry white wines such as Chardonnay. But if you keep developing your taste for caviar, don’t be afraid to branch out and experiment – you can come across a great cocktail or wine pairing.

Unopened cans of caviar should be stored in the coldest part of your refrigerator (usually a drawer reserved for vegetables). However, make sure that the caviar does not freeze, so as not to disturb the delicate texture. The ideal temperature for storing caviar is between +4 and +1 degrees Celsius.

On average, your can of caviar can be kept between two and three months. Caviar should be removed from the refrigerator ten to fifteen minutes before serving. Once opened, leftover caviar can be stored in an airtight container and stored in the coldest part of your refrigerator for up to two days.

We recommend ordering no less than 50 grams per two people you want to serve. Each serving should be at least a heaped teaspoon, whether served on blini or crackers, or enjoyed straight from a can. This ensures that the caviar’s full flavor profile can be experienced with every bite.

Each variety tastes slightly different, but the most commonly used words to describe the taste of caviar are nutty, rich, salty, slightly spicy, and creamy. The best way to discover the taste of caviar is to taste different varieties yourself, this is how you discover your favorite.
